A Promise to Rejoice In
Feeling beaten down? Weary from troubles that continue to multiply?
Consider the story of Joseph, and rejoice!
After suffering for years — sold into slavery, slandered, imprisoned — he sees God’s redemption, and in Genesis 50:20, Joseph confidently declares to his brothers, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
Ultimately, Joseph’s bothers sought to destroy him. But God used their intent to work out the salvation of many as they headed into seven years of famine. That’s our God!
The same redemptive plan is promised today. Do you know it? Do you believe it? Do you receive it?
Though the enemy schemes, yet God has promised to work all things for the good of those who love Him and call upon His name in faith.
Be blessed, even in the trials! Rejoice, even in the suffering! God is faithful. Your Savior has already won the war. Your victory is assured, and the Holy Spirit is your gift — surrounding, sustaining, counselling in Truth — as you press on!
May you have eyes to see it and a heart content to walk it out in faith!
