Peace Calling: The Blessing Awaits

Our hearts yearn.

Our minds cry out for relief.

Chaos and Anxiety poke and peck

Consuming our very souls, like malnourished demons.

And demonic they are.

For God has called us out of the darkness and into the light of His presence

Where fear is gone and peace abides.

The absence of concern over the storms still raging.

Where freedom is found in the knowledge

That God is in control.

That He is faithful and good,

Trustworthy and true.

That we’ve been saved and redeemed by grace.

The call remains:

Peace be unto you!

May God’s peace settle in and over you!

Oh Dear One:

Set apart by God to know Him and be known by Him,

To love Him and be loved by Him.

Why is your heart so heavy?

Why is peace so far removed?

The blessing awaits.

Come. Grab hold of the promise.

On Knowing Him – The Giver of Peace

Oh that we might know the Lord!

Let us press on to Him.

He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn.

For He says, “Call to me and I will answer you,

And will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,

“Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.

Plans to give you a hope and a future.

When you pray, I will listen.

If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

I will be found by you.”

Cast your cares upon the Lord –

He cares for you!

He will sustain you!

His promise remains, “I will feed the poor in my pasture;

The needy will lie down in peace.”

“For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed,

but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,

And my covenant of peace shall not be removed.”

Says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Oh, my heart

Be still and know that He is God!

He will be exalted.

He is with you.

He is your fortress.

For it was also written:

“Then the one who looked like a man touched me again

And I felt my strength returning.

‘Don’t be afraid,’ he said,

For you are very precious to God.

Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!'”

You, God, keep in perfect peace

Those whose minds are stayed on You.

I will trust in the Lord forever,

For the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

I choose to search for peace, and will work to maintain it.

I listen carefully to what God, the Lord, is saying;

For He speaks peace to His faithful people.

But let [us] not return to [our] foolish ways!

Unfailing love and truth have met together!

Righteousness and peace have kissed!

Truth springs up from the earth and

Righteousness smiles down from heaven.

Yes, the Lord pours down His blessings;

Our [lives] will yield its bountiful harvest.

The wisdom from above is first of all pure.

It is also peace-loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others.

It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds.

It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace

And reap a harvest of righteousness.

So I pray that the God of peace himself

Will give us His peace

At all times and in every situation.

That He will fill us completely with joy and peace

Because we trust in Him.

We will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
